I should warn you about the 9th special infected: the team killing troll.Left 4 Dead can be loads of fun on its own. Looking back, beating Realism Expert on every map was a nerve-wracking, fun experience. Plus there's a tonne of mods to keep the game fresh and to give it your own style. There are zero hackers except on mod/private servers, which is pretty impressive. Also people always say 'r' but i still don't get that either. Then you will become a rusher and now you'll be laughed at and kicked!īut it doesn't end there! There are other modes! Survival is alright, but versus is a blast! Although you might get kicked if you spit too early or something. Then you might realize, damn, there's a different way to play that keeps things fresh and lets me finish campaigns quicker. Probably you will start out campy, but eventually you might find rushers who you will kick. Plus there are a bunch of tricks you can use and different approaches. There is also a decent learning curve so you can improve your skills and get better at each map over time. Few games will give you this level of multiplayer experience. On a serious note, this is an all time classic game and stands the test of time. So it's a pretty decent game for a one gun game.
Please note, the only real gun in the game is the auto-shotty. Make your last stand at the spawn, don't move from it, then complain about rushers and laugh when your team-mates die and ask them why they weren't working as a team (sarcasm from experience with slow players). If you never played it before I recommend Expert Realism on The Last Stand. Most probably you'll only get a few thousand hours of enjoyment out of it. By that I mean you blast zombies' brains out.
